What is this contest about

AM PLAYER is the first Italian contest about Additive Manufacturing technologies. Our goal is to introduce companies to the potential value of additive technologies, supporting worthy proposals and enabling technology transfer services.

The contest involves the development of an Additive Manufacturing application idea by participating companies.
Pitch your idea about Additive Manufacturing application with a focus on innovation and sustainability to a team of experts and discover how to implement it.

PRIZES

The contest prizes have the aim of enabling free access to highly qualified services provided by CIM4.0, giving companies a concrete opportunity to innovate.

Each participant will receive a free consultation on the proposed idea and will be able to get in touch with AM experts. All projects will be evaluated by a jury and at the end 4 winning projects will be selected.

The first-place winner will be fully supported from fully supported from the design phase to the printing phase of the project.
The 3 finalists will receive vouchers that can be spent on engineering, consulting, design and training services at the Competence Center.
A “green” award will be given to the best idea with sustainability placed at the center of the project.

AM PLAYER – is an “Additive Manufacturing Contest” that is the first Italian competition solely dedicated to the Additive Manufacturing.

The goal is to stimulate innovative companies and start-ups to seek potential applications of Additive Manufacturing in their processes, while making available the skills of CIM4.0 and its partners in order to transform an idea into a concrete project.

ORGANIZERS

CIM 4.0

CIM4.0 is the National Competence Center founded with the aim of technology transfer 4.0 and dissemination of skills related to the manufacturing and service industries. Formed by the Polytechnic and University of Turin together with 22 partner companies. CIM4.0 makes the skills of industrial leaders available to companies through 2 pilot lines: Digital Factory and Additive Manufacturing, enhanced with high-level training paths for upskilling and reskilling, and financing to companies through calls for proposals.

Reply [EXM, STAR: REY] specialises in the design and implementation of solutions based on new communication channels and digital media. As a network of highly specialised companies, Reply defines and develops business models enabled by the new models of AI, big data, cloud computing, digital media and the internet of things. Reply delivers consulting, system integration and digital services to organisations across the telecom and media; industry and services; banking and insurance; and public sectors.

PUNCH TORINO

PUNCH Torino S.P.A. is a company specialized in the design and the development of innovative propulsion systems and advanced technologies such as Additive Manufacturing. Founded in 2005 by GM with the name of General Motors Powertrain Europe, in February 2020 it became part of the PUNCH Group, a leading supplier for the development, integration and manufacturing of driveline and powertrain solutions. Additionally in May 2021, PUNCH Torino founded the new company PUNCH Hydrocells S.r.L, dedicated to the development of hydrogen-powered solutions. In January 2022, the spin-off of PUNCH Torino’s Software and Controls division gave birth to the new company PUNCH Softronix.

TO WHOM?

The contest targeted at all large, small and medium-sized companies and innovative Italian startups who want to take a challenge and find out how to implement a project in Additive.

IDEA TO SUBMIT

Each participant can apply with a maximum of three proposals leveraging on Additive Manufacturing technologies, aiming at the optimization of production processes, at product improvement and innovation, at the innovation of business and organizational models in favor of company competitiveness, applicable to both the prototyping and production phases.

The proposals submitted by the companies must include:

• the compilation of Annex 1 containing a summary of the proposal, description of the company, general objectives and quantification of the expected benefit.

• Any digital material to support the proposal (3D file stl, stp, iges, images, pdf…) for a maximum of 4Gb.

Annex 1 must be digitally signed by the companys legal representative.

A jury of experts, selected from among the CIM4.0 consortium members, will evaluate the proposals and select the winners.
